Microsoft has added new file formats to Word 2007, Excel 2007, and PowerPoint 2007 in order to reduce file size and improve reliability.The Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats will help you to view the files created with those newer versions if you have previous versions of office installed in your machine.By installing the Compatibility Pack after you install the Word Viewer, you can view documents that are saved in the new document formats.

The Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats in addition to Microsoft Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003, you will be able to open, edit, and save files using the file formats in newer versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint .

The Word Viewer, together with the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats, allows you open Word documents which is saved in many formats like .docx,.docm,.rtf,.txt,.htm, .html, .mht, .mhtml,.wpd,.doc, .wpd,.wps(6.0 & 7.0) and .xml files.
The Word Viewer requires Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or Windows Vista or Windows XP Service Pack 2.
How to use?
1. Download and install wdviewer.exe from here.You can download the latest version from here.
2. Install the Compatibility Pack (Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) from here.
3. Open the program, choose the file to open. Now you can View, print and copy Word documents.
This is the latest version and is the replacement for Word Viewer 2003 and all previous Word Viewer versions.
