How to Avoid Unnatural Links Penalty from Google?

Avoid submitting links to blog networks and avoid joining link exchange programs. These activities may add your links anywhere.
Use NoFollow links attribute unless it is necessary. Too many DoFollow links in your site may cause issues. Dofollow links with rich keywords is a good unnatural link candidate.
But as Google Says links purchased for advertising does not comes under unnatural links. But these links should use “NoFollow” link attribute.
Use Google Webmaster Tools, Bing Webmaster Central etc to analyse unnatural links
Google Webmaster Tools provides a section “Links to Your Site” that shows the backlinks to your site. It also shows the domains that are linking back to your site. Similar section is available in Bing Webmaster central also.If your site has good quality content then over a period of time you will get natural backlinks. You don’t have to promote them using any of the methods that violate Google guidelines.
