This is a good news for bloggers who use the Blogger blogging platform and want to try new fonts for blogger blogs. Till now the only available blogspot fonts were the web-safe fonts like Verdana. Blogger has enabled the Web Fonts for all blogger users.
Initially there used to be only few fonts were available for bloggers like Arial, Courier, Georgia, Impact, Times New Roman, Trebichet and Verdana. Now there are plenty of fonts are available. 77 different fonts are available now for all bloggers. You can now spice up and further personalize your blog using fonts of your choice. Blogger has even added non-Latin alphabets such as Cyrillic, Greek and Khmer.
Blogger has recently introduced BloggerTemplate Designer that helps you a lot in designing the layout of blog. Another recently introduced useful feature is the support to add pages to your blog.
Using the Web Fonts in your Blogger blog
It is easy to start using the web fonts. Follow the below instructions.
- Login to your Blogger account
- Select the “Template Designer” option.
- Click the “Advanced” menu from left side.
- Select your option (for e.g. “Blog Tile font”) as shown below.
In the font selection list you can select the font of your choice. Choose any of the new Web Fonts for a preview. Here you can see the preview of your blog, which reflects the new font you have selected.
To apply the font change click on “Apply to Blog” button on the top right side of the Template Designer window. Unless you click on “Apply to Blog” nothing will change on your blog.

- Google Chrome: version 4.249.4+
- Mozilla Firefox: version: 3.5+
- Apple Safari: version 3.1+
- Opera: version 10.5+
- Microsoft Internet Explorer: version 7+
