To send a file through mail to VirusTotal you need to create a new message with scan@virustotal.com as destination address of your email.The file must not exceed 20 MB in size.You will receive an email with a report of the file analysis.
Also they provide a tool ‘VirusTotal Uploader‘ which enables you to directly send files from your system using the context menu.
