“Xobni” is the word “inbox” spelled backwards( pronounced as Zob-nee).Xobni was founded in March 2006 by Adam Smith and Matt Brezina. Xobni has different versions including the basic free version – Xobni Basic.

Xobni plugs into Microsoft Outlook and offers fast search and people-based navigation of email archives.As mentioned in the Xobni site it Search email & people faster than you can type.Xobni’s connector displays a live stream of social information about your contacts inside Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010.
Xobni connects to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc to give you a full picture of your Outlook contacts, including information from your email and from the web.
Once you have Xobni installed, you will see Facebook profile pictures of many of the people who send you email and have contact information in your address book.
Xobni automatically pulls the sender’s employer, job title, and photo from Linkedin into their Xobni profile.Same feature is available for Twitter,Saleforce,Hoovers etc.
