Error while trying to save your AdSense for Search settings – How to resolve?

Recently I have made some changes to my Google Adsense for Search settings (Google custom search) and tried to save so that changes I made will be effective.
But I got the error “Error while trying to save your AdSense for Search settings. Please try again later.”
I tried different things and searched the forums and other online resources.Recommendations from online resources The below given recommendations are from various resources in internet. These solutions may work in some scenario. Let us go hrough each of these recommendations

1. One of the suggestion was that ,the error is due to the exceeded quantity of keywords (site description) entered into the settings.Use less keywords (around 20) and the issue will be solved. This solution was not applicable to my problem because I was using only three keywords.
2. Other recommendation was to change browser. If you are using Firefox then try on IE and if using IE then try on Firefox. But unfortunately it did not work for me!
3. Few people suggested to Log out and back in from your Google Account and try. But in vain!

I tried many different things and finally I understood the problem and it was totally different.

And the problem which I faced and the solution

The problem was in the “Selected sites:” values.It is to specify a site or list of sites to search across. These can be individual pages, parts of sites, or entire sites.
Instead of giving  ” *.globinch.com/* ” to include the entire domain I used ” *.globinch.com* “. That was the error. When I changed ” *.globinch.com* ” to *.globinch.com/* I could save the the Google Adsense for Search settings.
